Wedding
Yashna & Asger
Mauritius
12 - 14 April 2027
Dear Family and Friends,
We are beyond excited to share the details of our special days with you. We truly hope to see as many of you as possible join us in Mauritius.
Our wedding will be a traditional Mauritian Hindu ceremony with no French or Danish traditions. This is a meaningful part of our heritage, and we’re very excited to share it with you.
This website has everything you might need to plan your trip and understand what to expect. For many of you, this will be an entirely new experience, and we’re here to make it a never forget experience.
We do completely understand that it’s a long journey, outside the typical holiday season, and not always feasible.
If you’re unable to make it, please know that we’ll find another way to celebrate with you when the time is right.
With all our love,
Future Mr. & Mrs. DUSSOYE Krøigaard Kempf
A little heads up on traditions
We’re so excited to celebrate with you! Just a quick note so everyone knows what to expect - our wedding will follow traditional Mauritian (Hindu) customs.
That means you might notice a few things missing compared to Danish or French weddings… No cutting of socks, no “kiss the bride/groom” chants, and no clinking glasses to get us to stand on chairs.
Instead, you’ll get to experience beautiful rituals, vibrant ceremonies, and traditions that are very special to us.
A little heads up on cuisine
Our wedding will feature traditional Mauritian cuisine, which is rich in spices and full of flavor. Some dishes may also include chili and be slightly spicy.
If you’re not used to this type of cuisine, we recommend starting light and pacing yourself - your stomach will thank you later ;)
A little heads up on kids
We are delighted to celebrate with families and children, and please note that there will be no dedicated childcare or babysitting services during the events.
As the events are designed primarily for adults, there will be limited entertainment specifically for children. We recommend bringing anything your child may need to stay comfortable and entertained throughout the day. Please note, there is a swimming pool at the venue for Day 1 (Mehendi) without child protection.
